Built for universities
that run on complexity.

Universities have layered approval chains, ghost worker risks, audit-mandated trails, and infrastructure spread across multiple campuses. SyndewOS was designed with all of this in mind.

The problems you have right now

We know what you're dealing with.

Ghost workers on the payroll
Deceased or departed staff still drawing salary. Manual reconciliation takes months. Auditors flag it every year. Tribe's biometric-linked attendance and payroll cuts the gap at source.
Finance approvals in WhatsApp groups
Purchase requests, petty cash approvals, and budget releases routing through unofficial channels. No trail, no accountability. Relay fixes that with configurable multi-level approval workflows.
Identity chaos across systems
Students with 4 different login IDs. Staff on-boarded in HR but not provisioned in email or LMS. Oluṣọ acts as the single identity source — admissions ID, staff number, student ID all unified.
Assets nobody can account for
Generators, vehicles, laboratory equipment — signed off years ago, location unknown. Campus tracks your entire asset register with condition logs and maintenance scheduling.
Annual audit prep takes 3 months
Pulling records from spreadsheets across departments for annual audit. Vault maintains a continuous, exportable audit trail. Prep drops from months to days.
Payroll week paralysis
Salary runs require VP Finance sign-off, Registry confirmation, and Bursary release — sequentially, in person. Relay automates the chain. Paystack, Flutterwave, or Stripe disburse automatically.
Purpose-built for education

Modern software for modern campuses.

From HR and payroll to facility management and approvals, all on one platform your IT team can actually maintain.

Recommended stack

What most universities start with.

Tribe
Tribe — HR
The foundation

Employee records, contract management, leave, attendance, and payroll. Bank transfer integration for direct salary disbursement. Biometric attendance feed support.

Vault
Vault — Finance
The accounts

Chart of accounts, budgets, AP/AR, and full audit-ready reporting. Every disbursement has a maker-checker trail. Year-end accounts in days, not months.

Campus
Campus — Facilities
The infrastructure

Asset register, room booking, maintenance jobs, and vendor management across all campuses. Condition tracking and depreciation logs for audit.

Relay
Relay — Approvals
The connective tissue

Multi-level approval workflows across every module. Leave requests, purchase orders, salary runs, asset write-offs, all routed with escalation and time limits.

Example workflow

Payroll disbursement end to end.

This is how a monthly payroll run works in SyndewOS, from timesheet close to bank credit.

01
Attendance lock — Tribe
At month end, the HR manager locks the attendance period. Tribe automatically reconciles biometric records against the leave register and flags discrepancies for manual review.
02
Payroll run — Vault
Vault pulls confirmed headcount from Tribe and computes gross pay, deductions (tax, pension, housing fund), and net pay per staff member. The payroll batch is created as a draft disbursement.
03
Multi-level approval — Relay
Relay routes the payroll batch through the configured approval chain: Head of HR → VP Finance → Registrar → Bursar. Each approver has 24 hours to act before escalation. Every action is timestamped and logged.
04
Bank disbursement
Once the final approver signs off, Vault submits the batch via Paystack, Flutterwave, or Stripe. Staff bank accounts receive credit directly. Confirmation receipts are stored against each employee's record in Tribe.
